Crafting Beauty: A Custom Dress for The Raffaella Ballet’s Choreographer

I recently had the privilege of designing an exquisite custom dress for choreographer Claire Kretzschmar for the world premiere of The Raffaella Ballet in South Bend, Indiana. Inspired by the life and beauty of Raffaella Stroik, the dress featured a stunning rose silk twill fabric with gold metallic embossing. Despite limited time and fabric, the final design showcased a soft yet structured drape with pleated skirts and a floral sash. This collaboration highlighted the importance of beauty and craftsmanship in art, and the ballet's success was a testament to the enduring impact of devotion and artistic dedication.

Handmade First Holy Communion Dresses

  I've always considered crafting custom First Holy Communion dresses among my favorite work projects. This sacrament holds immense significance for each girl, who eagerly anticipates finding or creating her own special dress for the sacred occasion. This year, I had the pleasure of creating more Communion dresses, including collaborating with local girls to bring their visions to life.     One particularly memorable project involved a girl and her mother who visited Anagrassia Sip'n Sews to transform the mother's wedding gown into a First Communion dress.
