Anagrassia Atelier Girls Club

Monthly Sewing Club for Ages 10–14

Welcome to Girls Club at Anagrassia Atelier—a small, creative sewing community where girls learn garment construction, sewing techniques, and design skills in a relaxed studio setting. 

Unlike a traditional class where every student works on the same project, Girls Club allows each student to grow at her own pace while receiving individualized instruction from professional dressmaker Mary Grace Godfrey Narkaj.

With a maximum of just four students per class, every girl receives personal guidance and plenty of one-on-one instruction.

Students may pay online through the website or by check, cash, Venmo, or Zelle. To reserve a spot, please email Mary Grace at marygrace@anagrassia.com. If paying in person, please arrive a few minutes before class begins to submit your payment.

Monthly Membership

Girls Club is offered as a monthly membership, not a subscription.

Students simply purchase the month(s) they would like to attend.

Each monthly membership includes:

• Three 90-minute Girls Club classes
• Individual instruction in a small group setting
• Access to professional sewing equipment during class
• Guidance on personal sewing projects or monthly themed projects

While the goal is to offer Girls Club each month, there may occasionally be breaks in the schedule due to holidays or busy bridal seasons at the atelier.

Class Size

Girls Club is intentionally kept small.

• Maximum of 4 students per class
• A minimum of 2–3 enrolled students is required for the monthly club to meet.
• If minimum enrollment is not reached, the month's club may be postponed or canceled.

When three or four students are enrolled, students may be assigned slightly staggered arrival times. This allows Mary Grace to spend dedicated one-on-one time helping each student get started before everyone settles into independent sewing.

Registration Fee (New Students Only)

All new Girls Club students pay a one-time $65 registration fee.

The registration fee includes:

• A one-hour private introductory sewing lesson ($65 value)
• Girls Club Registration & Sewing Binder
• Student paperwork and studio orientation

Students who have previously attended an Anagrassia sewing class or Sip 'n Sew event are considered returning students and do not pay the registration fee again.

Sewing Machines & Supplies

Students are welcome to bring their own sewing machine if they prefer to learn on the machine they use at home.

For those who do not bring a machine, professional sewing machines are available for use during class.

The atelier also provides the sewing tools needed during class, including:

• Pins
• Scissors
• Seam rippers
• Measuring tools
• Marking supplies
• Irons and pressing equipment
• Other basic sewing supplies

Students are responsible for purchasing the materials required for their individual projects, including items such as:

• Fabric
• Thread (when specialty colors are needed)
• Zippers
• Buttons
• Trim
• Elastic
• Interfacing
• Other project-specific materials

Many supplies are available for purchase in the Anagrassia Atelier shop, or students may bring their own materials.

Projects

Girls Club encourages creativity and individual growth.

Students may:

• Bring their own sewing project to work on during class.
• Purchase one of Anagrassia Atelier's sewing kits.
• Participate in a monthly themed project when offered.

Some months may feature a special club project or seasonal theme. These projects may require an additional fee for fabrics and specialty supplies.

Girls Club Membership
$150 per month

Includes three 90-minute classes.

New Student Registration Fee
$65 (one-time)

Project materials and specialty fabrics are not included unless otherwise stated.

Girls Club is more than sewing lessons.

It is a place where girls develop confidence, patience, creativity, and craftsmanship while learning timeless sewing skills in a professional couture atelier.

Every student progresses at her own pace, receives individualized instruction, and is encouraged to grow in both craftsmanship and creativity.
